CURRENT MANAGER
Manchester United are English football’s most globally recognised club. Under Sir Matt Busby they won three First Division titles and the European Cup in 1968 — the first English club to do so. Sir Alex Ferguson’s 27-year reign from 1986 to 2013 brought 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, two Champions Leagues and total dominance of English football. Since Ferguson’s retirement, United have struggled — seven managers in twelve years, declining performances, enormous spending without success. INEOS and Jim Ratcliffe’s minority takeover in 2024 brought new direction but challenges remain.

United’s most important player since his arrival in 2020. Portuguese, creative, direct and a scorer of spectacular goals. His form has been inconsistent this season but on his best days he is world-class.
Young Danish striker signed for a big fee. Still developing but shows enormous potential — pace, strength and an eye for goal.
Old Trafford — “The Theatre of Dreams” — is the largest club football stadium in England with capacity 74,879. Located in Stretford, Greater Manchester. Despite its legendary status, the ground has aged and United are planning a major redevelopment or new stadium. It still generates an extraordinary atmosphere for big European nights.

A turbulent season with Amorim sacked in January. Carrick steadied the ship and delivered Champions League football — 19 wins, 11 draws, 7 losses for 68 points. A significant achievement given the disruption.
