Everton are one of England’s oldest and most decorated clubs, founding members of the Football League in 1888. They were the dominant force in English football in the 1980s, winning two First Division titles and a European trophy. They are the only club to have played in every single season of the Premier League since its foundation in 1992. Recent years have brought financial difficulties — two points deductions for PSR rule breaches — and years of disappointment. However the move to their new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock in 2025 has reinvigorated the club and the city.
